Team up with with 3 other hunters, diversify your weapons and armor, and go for the kill.

In a constantly evolving world, players can group up to complete a myriad of different heists, all feeling fresh and fun. Each member is responsible for a different goal to contribute to the team. Maybe you’re stealing a prison bus while another member is flying over a plane for the team to make a quick getaway. Planning the heist and assigning roles is half the fun of Grand Theft Auto: Online
Fornite is growing larger in numbers everyday and for good reason, its a blast to play with friends! The Battle Royale and Save the World game modes are engaging, and worth your time. In Save the World players will team up to defend their fort, and try and complete objectives against zombies and other wacky creatures, while in the Battle Royale mode friends will squad up to be the last players standing. The Battle Royale mode is free, so the bar to entry is low, and Save the World is said to become free to play at some point in 2018, so jump out of that battle bus with some friends, and get that Victory Royale.
Overcooked is a game that gets mentioned often when talking about co-op, and rightfully so. Overcooked encapsulates everything you would want out of a co-op game. It is chaotic, fun, challenging, and feels great when your team finally accomplishes its goal. Cooking your way through a bunch of levels that constantly throw you ideas and challenges your way creates a space for players to work together to beat the task at hand. It is hard to plan who does what in Overcooked, because it really keeps you on your feet, so be ready to have to constantly switch up your strategy as your progress.
Any fan of co-op games should play through A Way Out, because this game can only be played co-op, there is no single player option. This game focuses on the two protagonists Leo and Vincent as they try to escape prison, and see their families to make things right. Along the way you’ll meet new characters, uncover more about Leo and Vincent, and even play connect four. A Way Out does an excellent job at putting players in the shows of these characters and will have you fighting for them until the very end. Both players view the game in split-screen, even when playing online, which allows players to work in tandem to accomplish tasks. By the end of A Way Out you’ll be an even bigger fan of co-op games.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is jam packed with content for you and up to 3 friends to shoot your way through. This first person shooter/rpg has everything you’d want from a co-op game , fun enemy designs, sprawling environments, and a ton of loot. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is an incredibly fun dungeon crawler made by the folks at Blizzard. With varied classes, loot, and beautiful visuals, Diablo 3 is an easy choice for game night with your friends. Play through the campaign to level up your favorite class, and then once you hit max level jump into adventure mode for start the end game grind by the best seasons gear. Diablo 3 has an insanely high replay value so it is an incredible value for your buck. You and your friends will be hooked by Diablo quickly, and will start climbing the ladder straight to the top.
Destiny 2 can be a great co-op experience if you have a group of friends to play with. Three players can team up for Strikes, which are dungeons players go through, culminating in a small boss encounter at the end, or up to 6 players can test there endurance and skill in the raid. Raiding in Destiny consists of 6 players teaming up for platforming, boss fights, and puzzle solving. The raids are designed to be the end game of Destiny 2 and offer some of the more unique rewards the game has. Raids are some of the most fun you can have in the world of Destiny and is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys working together.
Rocket League is the action packed battle car soccer game you can play with friends. Rocket league has so much to offer players, with almost endless customization options for your car, a plethora of different game modes both competitive and casual, and both single player and multiplayer modes. Rocket League is at its best when you and some friends team up and go online. The chaotic nature of Rocket League provide a playground for memorable moments that will have you and your buddies laughing and yelling for weeks to come.
If you are a fan of Destiny’s loot chase, but want something with a little bit of a more grounded setting, The Division is for you. Squad up with up to 3 other friends as you attempt to reclaim the New York City streets from a group of rogue agents and their gangs. This third-person shooter offers something that separates it from others of the genre is the Dark Zone. The Dark Zone is a world pvp zone where any loot that is picked up must be extracted out by a helicopter, but beware, because other players can choose to try and take you out to claim that loot for themselves. Maybe you’ll make some friends, or maybe you’ll make some enemies, but always be on the lookout.
Minecraft continues to appear on virtually every console known to man, thus making it an easy selection for a great co-op experience. Whether you and some friends just want to hang out and build a castle, or try to survive in the Netherworld, Minecraft is a blank slate. Maybe your friends just want to hop into creative mode and build whatever crazy structure they have in their mind, or maybe you want to create a crazy mine cart roller coaster, its up to you. Zombies is an incredibly popular game within the Call of Duty series, that has 4 players working together to both survive, and solve the greater puzzle at hand, often having to decipher cryptic riddles or clues. Zombies can seem shallow at first, just trying to survive wave after wave, but going after the bigger mystery, and trying to figure out the best strategy to survive, will cause this mode to sink its hooks into you rather quickly.
Ark: Survival evolved is full of things for you and friends to do. As the title implies survival is key and what you need will evolve over time. Gathering resources and building a shelter for you and your team will keep you alive at first, but beware of the dinosaurs and other players that roam the area. Over time you will level up and craft new and exciting items like, boats, and saddles to ride dinosaurs. Making a stronghold to keep out attacking tribes and dinosaurs is key for surviving in this game, so working together with friends is vital. How you play the game is up to you, as Ark gives the players a lot of freedom to explore and try new ideas. If you’re a fan of co-op and dinosaurs, this is an easy choice.
Dying Light is a first-person shooter set in the zombie apocalypse. What makes this game stand out from other similar games, is both its over the top weapon crafting, and its parkour. You and your friends will be running across rooftops with electric machetes, and axes chopping down hoards of zombies in no time. Throughout the game, you’ll learn how to dropkick, jump over, and run across the heads to get across a crowd with ease. Dying Light is a fun zombie survival game that has both interesting game mechanics, and a compelling story.
Don’t Starve Together is a brutal survival game you can experience with friends. Managing hunger, madness, and sleep levels, all while trying to explore and gather materials to survive can be a daunting task. Having friends along makes these things easier, but you will have to work together to make sure you’re spending all of your time and resources correctly. This is a co-op game about surviving the elements and trying not to descend into madness. So get some friends and try not to starve.
Warframe is a free-to-play third-person shooter developed by Digital Extremes. Travel across the solar system as you and your friends complete quests and other objectives in the world. Warframe is full of different weapons, and classes so everyone can find a role they fit into. Missions include defeating enemies, capturing data from terminals, defending artifacts, and surviving as long as possible. Warframe is free-to-play so it cant hurt to give it a chance the next time you and your friends are looking for something different.
Bloodborne does not have a traditional co-op experience like many other games, but what it does offer is something special. While Bloodborne is still a primarily single-player game, if players ring the Beckoning Bell while in Yharnam they can summon a friend or ally to assist them. Bloodborne allows for up to 2 extra players to assist while traveling around. This is useful if you just want to run around killing things, or need help on a specific boss battle. Be wary though, summoning a friend into your world, may also bring the attention of blood-seeking hunters who have come to invade. If another player invades your world, you will have to defeat them to get rid of them, so be careful when playing co-op.
Uncharted 4 is known for its incredible single-player narrative, but it is also home to an incredibly fun co-op experience. Players can team up and take on two different multiplayer modes, survival, and survival arena. In survival players will have to survive 50 waves of tough enemies, with every tenth wave culminating in an intense boss battle. Enemies will get stronger every round, but will also drop better weapons when defeated. This mode spans across ten different maps, so there is plenty to keep you and your friends coming back for more. Survival arena ups the ante to 100 waves, and adds modifiers to further increase the difficulty of survival.
Rainbow Six Siege offers a variety of different gameplay modes, all designed around working as a team and using your operators abilities in tandem with one another. Rainbow Six Siege has Terrorist Hunt mode, which pits you and your friends against waves of terrorists that need to be taken down. Each hunt has different modifiers, random objectives, and picking from the 36 different operators will also change up your strategy every time you go back in for more.
Helldivers is a twin-stick shooter that supports up to four players. Take on missions, and learn to coordinate attacks with teammates, because friendly fire is always on, and can be devastating. The world is procedurally generated, and players must take on a series of randomized objectives when landing on planets. Becoming quickly overrun by enemies will happen often, and learning how to deal with it is half the fun. You and your friends will kill each other accidentally a lot, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be roaming around these planets with ease.
Overwatch is a team based first-person shooter that requires cooperation to succeed. It doesn’t matter how good a player is at one specific hero, if they don’t coordinate and play with the rest of the team. Players who work together and pick heroes that they are not only good at playing, but compliment other teammate’s picks will set your team up for victory. With a large roster of 27 heroes to choose from, and seasonal events, free map updates, and rotating game modes, there are a lot of things for players to experience together in the world of Overwatch.
