The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 1

The Walking Dead, Final Season, Telltale, Episode One

Telltale Games has long been known for offering up some of the easiest achievements lists you’d find in video games right now. By simply completing all of the episodes of one of its narrative-driven series, players could easily swipe the full 1,000 Gamerscore on offer. Alas, with The Walking Dead: The Final Season wrapping up Clementine’s story once and for all, Telltale has opted to change things up for its achievements, too.

With only four episodes in this final season, the first episode brings 250 Gamerscore to the table. You’ll still be able to earn 70 of that from simply playing through the episode regardless of your decisions and actions. However, in order to get the full sweep, you’ll need to really nail some of the little mini-game sections, find all collectibles, and place ’em all on the wall in Clem and AJ’s room. Fortunately, we’ve got a guide to help you find all of the collectibles, making things that little bit easier.

Telltale may have switched up its formula for achievements in its latest season, but it’s still one of the easiest 250 Gamerscore you’re going to get in August on Xbox One.

Madden 19

Madden NFL 19 Gameplay

Each and every year, EA releases the latest entry in its long-running sports franchises, and Madden NFL is no different. August saw the release of Madden NFL 19, bringing the next chapter of the Longshot story mode that was a particular strong point in last year’s package. Add on top of that the updated rosters, improvements to Madden Ultimate Team, and the usual swathe of gameplay tweaks and you’ve got a competent and visually impressive experience for football fans.

Madden 19’s 38 achievements will task you with completing a variety of different tasks. For example, Negotiator requires you to win an MUT auction, while Triple Crown tasks you with ‘Record a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery with the same player on a single play.’ Some are certainly trickier to nail than others, but if you’re the kind of player who tends to sink a lot of time into the latest entry in the Madden series, checking out its various modes each year, you should be able to clear up many of the achievements on offer in Madden 19 naturally as you play.

Asemblance: Oversight

asemblance oversight

A few months back, a little ol’ game hit the Xbox Store in the form of Asemblance. It was essentially a sci-fi walking simulator that netted you a smooth 1,000 Gamerscore within 90 minutes at the most. Well, August 2018 saw the release of Asemblance: Oversight, and there’s no surprise really that the achievements list for the game is no more difficult than its predecessor.

Asemblance: Oversight only has 10 achievements totaling its 1,000 Gamerscore. Each of its achievements will net you 100 Gamerscore, and a good few of them are simply unlocked by playing through the game’s story. To be sure you don’t miss anything in your initial playthrough, you’ll probably want to use a full walkthrough video, but considering the whole thing can be wrapped up in about 30-35 minutes if you really mean business, it’s not going to be the end of the world if you have to go through again.
