Xbox Games With Gold Predictions For September 2018

games with gold, predictions, september 2018

Along with access to online functionality, those who subscribe to Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold are also gifted a few free games every month via Games with Gold. Most recently, those games included Forza Horizon 2 and For Honor for Xbox One, and Dead Space 3 and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Usually, one or two larger games makes the list every month to keep players happy with the subscription. For September 2018, we suspect L.A. Noire from Rockstar Games will be one of the AAA free games included. Besides the fact that L.A. Noire is already available for essentially every other platform, its re-release on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch was almost a year ago now, which is usually the minimum amount of time for Microsoft to start considering adding a game to Games with Gold. Not to mention the game originally released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC back in 2011, so it’s even an older title with that in consideration.

L.A. Noire has also been offered on Deals with Gold more than one so it has a reduced price for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, including June 2014 and more recently January 2018. It’s pretty common for games that come to Deals with Gold to one day be offered on Games with Gold as well, depending on the title.

Another likely AAA game is Far Cry Primal for very similar reasons. It has also been featured on Deals with Gold in the past like in March 2017 when it was 60% off or in January 2018 when it was 70% off. As well, Microsoft is used to featuring Ubisoft games in its Games with Gold lineup, including and not limited to:

  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon in November 2016.
  • Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in April 2017.
  • Assassin’s Creed III in June 2017.
  • Watch Dogs in June 2017.
  • And most recently For Honor in August 2018.

Those are our predictions for the larger games, now check out page two where we look at a possible indie inclusion as well.

INDIE

Xbox Games With Gold Predictions For September 2018

tokyo 42

For a indie prediction for September, we would love to see isometric shooter Tokyo 42 developed by brother duo team SMAC Games. It’s extremely stylish and features colorful worlds with a unique and memorable art style you’re sure to remember. In Tokyo 42, you are framed for a murder you did not commit and must take out enemies in several mini-maps with an adjustable camera and super fun shooting physics.

Despite being a very well-received indie when it did release on Xbox One and PC in May 2017 and PS4 in August 2017, it has yet to be included in both Games with Gold or PS Plus. It seems like a perfect inclusion, and is of the same caliber as past indies that have been included such as Gone Home, Rayman Legends, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Terraria, and more.

Make sure to check back with Twinfinite in the next few weeks to see what games will be officially revealed by Microsoft for the upcoming month of September 2018.
