CORE POKEMON GAME FOR SWITCH

Recommended Videos

After the announcement of Pokemon Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun last week during the Pokemon direct, fans were hoping that the Switch would be getting the much-rumored Pokemon Stars. It turned out that Nintendo had nothing to announce for the Switch besides the fact that Pokken Tournament DX was coming.

During Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight event, the Pokemon Company ended up having an ace in the hole to share with us. The Nintendo Switch is not only getting a new Pokemon game in the future, but that game will indeed be a main line entry in the Pokemon series. Meaning that the next generation of Pokemon (8th gen) might be leaving the 3DS family to start a new home on Nintendo’s new hybrid console.

The Pokemon Company did not mention a launch window, but they did say that the game is at least a year away, so there’s a chance that it can release in time for holiday 2018.
