Splatoon 2 is a quirky team-based shooter available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch and is sequel to the original award-winning Splatoon. It’s certainly among the most populous online games for the Switch.

The game puts you in control of an ‘Inkling’, a cute albeit temperate little creature that can shapeshift between a humanoid and squid form.

While at a quick glance the game might seem like a colorful and PG-rated shooter clone, it actually boasts very unique mechanics.

Gameplay revolves around attacking players with Ink-guns, which are also used to gain territory that players of the same color can then use to hide themselves.

If you’re on the Switch and want to play some light-hearted shooter fun, Splatoon 2 definitely should be your first stop.
