5 At Risk Wii U Smash Bros. Characters We Need Back on Switch
With five characters from the series, Fire Emblem is one of the most heavily-represented franchises in Super Smash Bros. Corrin, the protagonist of Fates, was added in the game as downloadable content before his game even launched. While this move might have just seemed like a blown-up advertisement, Corrin turned out to be a pretty solid fighter with his strong zoning skills.
With a new Fire Emblem game in the works, Nintendo could pull off a similar scheme again. That said, this could mean that Corrin might have to give up his slot for an upcoming new character. Awakening and Fates have had plenty of time to shine in the spotlight, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they pull out Robin as well. Corrin definitely plays much better compared to the other Fire Emblem reps, especially since he has a decent spot in the meta, so it’ll be a bittersweet goodbye if ever it comes down to that.
