Set up Your Ministry ID

Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Harry Potter Wizards Unite is all about letting players become the wizard that they’ve always wanted to be, and while you can just jump in and capture Foundables, what’s the point of being a Wizard if you don’t customize your character?

You can check out your Ministry ID by clicking on the Wizard icon on the bottom left of the map screen and that will take you to your profile page, where you can see vital information on your Ministry ID.

You can change your name, edit your portrait, choose a Hogwarts House, pick a wand design, and you can take a look at your Wizarding achievements.

Once you get to a higher level, you’ll even be able to choose a profession, letting you pick between a Professor, Auror, or a Magizoologist.

If you add friends to your game, they will be able to take a look at your ID so you need to make sure that it’s up to snuff.

Go Catch Some Foundables

Opening up the main map screen in Harry Potter Wizards Unite might be a bit confusing at first, but all of the little icons on the screen aren’t there no reason.

The main icon you will see pop up on the map are called Traces and once you press on them you will be taken to a battle in which you have to cast a spell in order to defeat a Confoundable and save a Foundable that you can then add to your registry.

You can head to your Registry by clicking on the suitcase at the bottom of the screen. From there, you will see several pages of categories of Foundables for you to collect.

The Traces that you find on the field will be represented by one of the categories, making it easier for you to find the ones that you need.

Collecting these Foundables will net you experience points, special items, scrolls, runestones, and much more as slowly fill out the pages of the Registry.

Visit Some Inns

Once you begin to use your spell energy for fighting off Confoundables, you’re going to eventually have to recharge –this is what Inns are for. For those that are familiar with Pokemon GO, Inns essentially work the same way as PokeStops do.

Inns can be found at special locations around you like a public park, iconic statue, or near a famous mural. By going close to these Inns, you can then click on it to receive extra spell energy.

You can also place Dark Detectors at an Inn and rarer Traces will begin to pop up around the area for about 30 minutes.

Other people can take advantage of these detectors or even place their own to help you out so if you’re with a group of friends, try placing three detectors and you’ll definitely start seeing a whole bunch of Traces to catch.

Every five minutes, the Inn will reset itself allowing you to gather even more spell energy for all of your Confoundable catching needs. Finding the closest Inns by your home will be important if you plan on playing Harry Potter Wizards Unite for a long time.

Brew Potions

You should always have potions brewing whenever you’re playing Harry Potter Wizards Unite. Whenever you encounter high-level Foundables, you may not be strong enough to defeat it –that’s where potions come in.

If you feel like your normal spell energy won’t be strong enough, you can use a handy-dandy potion to improve your spell cast in Traces and Wizarding Challenges. There are also potions that can be used to heal you during challenges and another that grants you extra experience points.

By going into the potions menu via your suitcase, you can brew a variety of recipes. These will require certain material which you can find on the map screen or from rewards. Once you get a potion brewing, they can take quite some time until they finish –about two hours.

But if you use the Master Note Codes, you might be able to speed up the lengthy process or you can use gold coins to pay for shorter brewing time –it’s all up to you.

Find Some Friends

Once you become more experienced, you can try your hand at taking over a Fortress and engaging in a Wizarding Challenge. These challenges can be done with friends and random people around the location, sort of like a Gym Battle in Pokemon GO.

If you add some friends to your game via the social menu, you will get loads of benefits such as bonus Wizarding XP and Wizarding Challenge XP when you engage the challenges together as a strong team.

You might want to be the lone Wizard type and take on these Fortresses by yourself, but two or more heads are better than one. Go find some other Potterheads and start taking over the world! Or at least your neighborhood.

Just make sure you have some potions ready to go just in case you need to heal or increase your spell power.
