Roadhog
Roadhog is the giant hog-like Hero that is known for pulling enemies in with his giant Chain Hook to deal damage up close with his shotguns.
Although some characters in Smash Bros. have an ability similar to this such as Link and his Boomerang, Roadhog would come to the game with the longest reaching hook ability that Smash Bros. has ever seen.
Imagine being able to jump off the edge of the map, only to hook someone on your way down and bring them with you. There are plenty of characters in Smash that have ways to trap people into death, and Roadhog would be a great character for that type of nuance.
Speaking of knocking others off the map, Roadhog’s Whole Hog Ultimate would be a perfect ability to do just that. In Overwatch, the massive rail gun that Roadhog pulls out once his Ultimate hits 100% has some of the strongest push abilities in the game.
Although Nintendo would need to ensure that the Whole Hog ultimate couldn’t be used all the time, adding a cooldown or meter system to the ability would make it more balanced and it would make a proper transition to Smash Bros. Ultimate.
