5 Beautiful Games That Somehow Don’t Have a Photo Mode

Taking place in feudal Japan, FromSoftware’s newest SoulsBorne title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is brimming with beautiful environments and colorful locales that are just asking to be photographed.

Being able to pause the game during an intense fight and rotate the camera around to snap the perfect photo of Wolf fighting against, let’s say… Genichiro, would go down in the books as one of the best moments in the game and could forever be remembered if we had access to a photo mode and gallery.

You can look back at all of the insane bosses and enemies that you have come across, and reminisce on the countless times that you screamed at your television and almost tore your controller in half –good times, good times.

Life Is Strange

The majority of Life is Strange 2’s setting takes place in the pacific northwest, similar to the first Life is Strange game, making for some relaxing and tranquil scenery around Seattle.

Sean and Daniel’s journey takes them through forests with babbling brooks full of wildlife and nature aplenty, setting the scene for some very Instagram-able photos. Sean even goes out of his way to sketch some of the scenes that he views throughout his adventure, but having a photo mode would be so cool for the brothers to have.

Life is Strange tends to evoke all kinds of emotions throughout the series, and being able to take some photos to look back on the emotional journey would surely benefit the game.

Mortal Kombat 11

Every character in Mortal Kombat 11 has several different fatal attacks that are as gory as ever. The fatalities, brutalities, and fatal blows fill the screen with blood and show off just how powerful the roster of characters are.

It would be fantastic to pause the action and have free movement of the camera, letting players zoom in and out of the action to take a photo that highlights the brutal moments that Mortal Kombat 11 has to offer.

People can then take these photos and share them online with others to compare and possibly add some filters or other effects, making for a truly impressive photo shoot.

Resident Evil 2

Capcom’s remake of the PlayStation classic released earlier this year, showing off just how a remake should be done. Taking the framework of the original Resident Evil 2 and giving it a 2019 shine, this is a horror game that cannot be missed.

One thing that this survival horror experience is missing though, is a photo mode. We would just love to take photos of the ever-terrifying Mr. X before he bashes our brains in with his huge, un-human hands. There are also some pretty cool moments like the Alligator chase scene and the Birkin fight that are just asking to be photographed.

The photo mode in Resident Evil 2 could also be used to keep track of special items or certain areas that you would like to remember for later.

Monster Hunter: World

It’s a shame that Monster Hunter World, which focuses on creating and styling your own hunter, has yet to receive some sort of in-game photo mode.

It might be hard to snap a few pics while you’re fighting huge monsters out in the battlefield, but there are moments in Monster Hunter: World that are just simply breathtaking, like when two or three monsters pop up at the same time, causing mayhem and madness.

And when you’re not fighting out in the field, it would be awesome to use photo mode to take squad photos with your hunting crew before you head out on a quest. Considering that you can eat, drink, emote, and arm wrestle together, there are so many Kodak moments waiting to happen in Monster Hunter: World.
