Varied Game Modes and Battle Royale

All of Rockstar’s multiplayer offerings so far have given players a variety of options to choose from, and Red Dead Online needs to be the same way, if not on an even larger scale. Hopefully, most of the most from the first Red Dead Redemption will make a return like Deathmatch, Gold Rush, Capture the Flag, and Hold Your Own. It’d also be fun to see an alternative mode with zombies introduced, like in Undead Nightmare, even if it doesn’t fit with the main game.

Now, this may seem strange to say, but one way Red Dead Online can stand out from Fortnite is by implementing some kind of battle royale mode. Obviously, Fortnite is a major reason the battle royale genre is what it is today. However, if any developer is situated to bring a unique take on the genre it’ Rockstar. Maybe it’d involve outlaws competing over a robbery target, or even loop in the gang or posse system.

It’s hard to pin down exactly what a battle royale mode would look like in Red Dead Online, but that’s part of what makes it so exciting to think about. Having a wealth of multiplayer options and a battle royale mode? Now that’d really make Red Dead Online something special.
