Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 1

The Walking Dead, Final Season, Telltale, Episode One

It wouldn’t be an easiest trophies and platinums list without a Telltale game appearing on it, so here’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 1. However, things are a little different this time around. Getting all the trophies is no longer as simple as just playing though each episode until the platinum pops. Now, while there are a couple of trophies assigned to each episode that are unlocked by just playing, there are others that are linked to doing certain things in each episode.

The Final Season sees us take control of Clementine once again and we now have to find some collectibles as we explore with her and hang them on the wall of her new home. This time around, getting all the trophies takes some thought, but even if you need to play through twice, the game isn’t long enough for that to be frustrating. Also, you’ll have to wait until the end of the year to unlock the platinum, when the final episode releases.

Guacamelee 2

Drinkbox’s games tend to have easy trophy lists, as well as be excellent games. Much like the first game, Guacamelee 2’s platinum is quite easy to get. The game is a little longer this time around, coming in at just under nine hours long, and you’ll have to play though the game on hard, but it’s easy to race through if you want to. Also, it’s the platforming sections that are tough, rather than the combat, so it’s not made much harder by increasing the difficulty level. If you’re able to get through the game on normal, you shouldn’t have many issues on hard. You might need a guide for some of the collectibles, side-missions, and the silly moments in the game, but the world is small enough and well enough designed that getting from one side to the other to find items is quite easy. Also, Guacamelee 2 is a great Metroidvania experience, full of charming characters and deep gameplay. Check out our review for our full thoughts.

Overcooked 2

The first Overcooked had quite an easy trophy list, aside from the need to get three stars on all levels, but it didn’t have a platinum. Now, for the sequel, the list has been expanded significantly to add the platinum, but the difficulty of some of the levels has been increased too. While you’ll be able to get three stars on the first few worlds when playing alone, you’ll need a competent partner to do so in the final few. And, if you’re after the platinum, you’ll need to get three stars on all of them. Getting three stars on all the levels, including the hidden Kevin ones, will unlock three silver trophies and four gold, which make up a significant percentage of the list. If you start the game with that being your aim, and you have someone alongside you that you work well with, you shouldn’t have too many issues, and most of the other trophies, such as cooking 1,000 meals, will unlock organically as you progress.
