Shin Megami Tensei V: How to Heal & Restore Health

Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest entry in Atlus’s turn-based JRPG series, and the second one to be released for the Nintendo Switch, the first being the Nocturne remaster from earlier this year. The game puts players in control of the Nahobino, who has the power to command demons in battle and fuse them to create even more powerful demons. Here’s how to heal and restore health in Shin Megami Tensei V.

Healing and Restoring Health in Shin Megami Tensei V

SMT V is a pretty tough game, and it’ll take you a while before you’re able to master the Press Turn system and annihilate all your enemies in a single turn, especially if you’re new to the series. You’ll need to be especially mindful of your health, as losing a party member will force you to waste a turn to summon another demon to take its place. Additionally, the game is over if the Nahobino falls, so there’s that as well.

There are a few ways to restore your health in Shin Megami Tensei V, and we’ve listed them below:

  • Using the Recovery function at a leyline fount
  • Using items
  • Using healing spells

The first method is through the leyline fount. Simply interact with any fount or terminal in the world, choose the Recovery option, and you can pay a small amount of Macca to restore your entire party’s health, or just the demons you select.

You can also purchase items like Medicines from Cadaver’s Hollow, then use them from your items menu. If the Nahobino or any of your demons have access to healing spells like Dia, you can also use them from the skills menu to heal up your party, though this does cost MP.

Items and spells can be used in and out of combat, though you should always be aware that this will use up a turn, so you need to plan around that carefully.

That’s all you need to know about how to heal and restore health in Shin Megami Tensei V. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
