Here’s Our First Look at Joel and Ellie in HBO’s The Last of Us TV Series

It was announced back that HBO would be working on a TV series adaptation for The Last of Us, and the casting seemed pretty solid as well. Pedro Pascal, best known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Narcos, will be taking on the role of Joel, while Bella Ramsey, who played the spunky Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, will be playing Ellie.

The TV series is now in production, as announced over on the official HBO Twitter account, and we’ve just gotten our first look at the two actors as Joel and Ellie, as shown in the tweet below.

We only get to see their backs as they stand in a large field with some debris in the distance, but that image alone already oozes tons of TLOU vibes. The costumes are looking good so far, and we’re definitely excited to see more of it going forward.

There’s no set release date for The Last of Us TV series adaptation yet, but we’ll keep you updated as more details come our way.
