Mythic Quest Season 2 to Debut on Apple TV+ in May

Unveiled at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference a couple years back, Apple TV+’s Mythic Quest wasn’t exactly the kind of announcement most would’ve been expecting. As the platform was still finding its footing amidst a sea of tough competition like Netflix and Hulu, Mythic Quest didn’t really look like it’d be enough of a hit to draw in audiences.

And then it came out, and it was pretty good. So good, in fact, that Apple wasted no time in greenlighting a second season, and it’s set to be released on Apple TV+ in May. You can check out the teaser trailer down below:

After the end of the first season, a bonus quarantine episode was released and was shot entirely remotely, with the cast filming from home. With the second season, the team is back in office as they work on releasing a new expansion for their popular MMORPG.

Here’s the synopsis for the second season:

“With the quarantine finally over, the new season of “Mythic Quest” finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game’s direction.
Meanwhile, C.W. (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses yet another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi).”

Mythic Quest season 2 is set to be released on Apple TV+ on May 7.
