The Medium: Jack Tie Pin Location

At the very beginning of The Medium, your very first objective will be to find Jack’s tie pin somewhere in the apartment Marianne finds herself in. In this guide, we’ll show you where you need to go to find it so you can progress the story and get into the real meat of Marianne’s spooky adventure.

Where to Find Jack’s Tie Pin in The Medium

First things first, you want to navigate to Jack’s room, which can be found through the open door down the hallway from the room you start in. It’s the open door on the left, not the one that’s closed right at the end of the hallway.

You’ll know you’re in the right room when you find a photo frame filled with medals on the left-hand wall when you walk in.

Once you’re looking at the medals on the wall, look down and you’ll see the box for Jack’s tie pin. Problem is, when Marianne opens it, she’ll find it’s empty.

The game will then prompt you to use Marianne’s Insight ability. This can be done by pressing and holding LB on the Xbox controller, or L Ctrl on PC. When using Insight, objects of interest will be illuminated in your nearby surroundings, revealing hidden items you would otherwise be unable to see.

By using Insight, you’ll find Jack’s tie pin is hidden underneath the clock just next to the box that you checked.

Look at the clock and press the X button to shift it back. You’ll then be able to pick the pin up, allowing you to finally leave the apartment.
