The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse
The Swords of Ditto is an adorable and compact action RPG that takes tons of influence from The Legend of Zelda series. The main goal is to defeat the evil witch Mormo by finding the strongest weapons and stickers to overcome her powerful grasp on the world.
In Swords of Ditto, every time you die, you get reincarnated as a new hero who loses all of the items that you managed to find. Each run is different from the next as the map is randomly generated as well as the dungeons that you encounter.
You can even explore this charming and vibrant world with a friend as Swords of Ditto allows for cooperative play, and thanks to the two Joy-Cons that come with the Switch, it’s the perfect game to play with friends on the go.
Shakedown Hawaii
Shakedown: Hawaii is a charming top-down 16-bit action game that has you building your own corporate empire while destroying the competition that stands in your way.
You can explore the island of Hawaii by foot, car, and boat, to take down competitors and literally burn their businesses to the ground.
There are tons of sidequests and activities for you to do on this island, making Shakedown: Hawaii another Switch game to be on the lookout for.
Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package
Saints Row: The Third is one of the craziest and wackiest open world action games out there and this port on the Switch brings the high-octane gameplay to a Nintendo console for the first time ever.
You can expect lots of guns, drugs, explosions, cars, and more guns as you explore and find out the secrets of the city of Steelport.
Since this is the Full Package version of the game, you’ll find all of the previously released downloadable content available right from the get-go, giving Switch players full access to Saints Row: The Third.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
Taking control of an assassin named Conor during the American Revolution, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered on Switch is just one way to experience Ubisoft’s open world action game.
You can explore iconic locales such as Boston and New York while interacting with some pretty important people in history like George Washington and Benedict Arnold. Fight for freedom as you assassinate your way to victory using a variety of weapons like a tomahawk and a bow and arrow.
In this remastered version of the game on Switch, players will also have access to Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered as well as the three DLC packs.
Resident Evil Origins Collection
It can be overwhelming to jump into a series that has recently put out its seventh entry, but thanks to the Resident Evil Origins Collection, newcomers can jump in and see where the series started.
The collection includes remastered versions of Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0, allowing players the chance to experience the spooky mansion with Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, and explore an ominous train with Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers.
You’re going to have to deal with tank controls and item management, but hey, those are two aspects that made Resident Evil such an iconic horror franchise, as well as the zombies, lickers, and mutated monsters.
Team Sonic Racing
Team Sonic Racing is an arcade-style racing game starring the famous characters from the Sonic series. You got Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and a bunch of other characters competing in fast-paced and exciting races throughout multiple Sonic-inspired tracks.
If you’re a Sonic fan and have an affinity for kart racers, then Team Sonic Racing is the perfect game to pick up on the Switch.
You can even play online with up to 12 other racers to test out your racing skills with other Team Sonic Racing players. Good luck out there –Sonic fans do not mess around.
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 puts us back into the shoes of Leon Kennedy, but this time, he’s tasked with saving the president’s daughter who has been kidnapped. This then results in one of the best escort missions in gaming history as you explore a mysterious village in Europe that is teeming with infected humans as you find and aid Ashley in escaping.
Resident Evil 4 marks the first time that Capcom drove the series into a more action-oriented style, with the game sporting an over-the-shoulder camera that puts the focus on shooting and fast-paced action.
Gone are the days of tank controls and Resident Evil 4 plays amazing because of it; plus, there’s an escape scene at the end with Leon on a jet ski –if that’s not cool, I don’t know what is.
Little Friends: Dogs and Cats
Little Friends: Dogs and Cats is essentially the spiritual successor to Nintendogs that fans should look forward to. You can choose between different adorable breeds of dogs and cats and then raise them as if they were your own.
You can buy items to “dress up” your pet, give them baths, take them out for walks, and place them in competitions to show off your pets frisbee skills.
Each pet has a different personality with a look of their own making each dog and cat very unique. If you don’t own a pet in real life, then why not pick up a virtual one? Trust us, it’s way less messy and easier to handle than taking care of animals in the real world.
