Playing Supergirl in Injustice 2

Supergirl is one of the new additions to Injustice 2’s character roster, and she’s definitely a great selection for players who are just getting started in the game. Her five special moves all boast a good amount of utility, and they can help get her out of a lot of sticky situations.

The first move that you’ll want to quickly get acquainted with is her Frost Breath, which is pretty similar to the one Superman has. The Frost Breath is a great mid range attack that can stun foes for a brief period of time, allowing you to get in close. However, the meter burn version of Frost Breath actually freezes foes for a few seconds, completely opening them up other juggles and combos you might have up your sleeve.

Space Port is another handy move that lets you get behind your opponent quickly. The regular move will send you to the other side of the screen before following up with a high attack, and the meter burn version lets you perform an overhead attack instead. Unless your opponent is already in the air, or if they’re blocking low, I’ve found that the regular move itself was serviceable.

Lastly, Krryptonian Force and Rising Sun Strike seem to work best together. Kryptonian Force will push your foe backwards, and the meter burn version actually suspends them in the air for a few seconds. This is a perfect opportunity for you to follow up with a combo, or even just the Rising Sun Strike that lets Supergirl perform a straight, upwards punch.

Overall, Supergirl is a pretty easy character to get a hang of, and her move set definitely gives her a lot of mobility that can block enemy movement and confuse them.

Rising Sun Strike: Down, Back, Square

(Air) Super Hover: Down, Back, Square

Frost Breath: Down, Forward, Triangle

Space Port: Down, Back, Triangle

Kryptonian Force: Back, Forward, X
