Stay Observant at All Times
Danganronpa 1.2 Reload Tips and Tricks for Beginners
It’s true that the bulk of Danganronpa 1.2 Reload’s gameplay comes in the form of its Class Trials, but that doesn’t mean you should rush through the rest of the game. The days preceding each trial often contain a ton of hints and significant moments that you’ll be referring back to in the Class Trial.
If you pick up on these before you start the Class Trial you’ll often have a good idea of how each case is going to come together. Most importantly, you may even know where and when to expect the twists and turns in each case. Oh, and you’ll also find the multiple choice question moments far easier as these often refer back to things you discovered during your investigation or certain things that people said before the murder.
Remember to Concentrate
Danganronpa 1.2 Reload Tips and Tricks for Beginners
During Class Trials in Danganronpa 1.2 Reload, you’ll need to fire Truth Bullets at the other students’ statements in order to highlight contradictions or just simply false facts. Of course, this isn’t as simple as simply just selecting the right statement, you’ll need to clear away lines of White Noise that may be covering the statement, otherwise, your bullet will just bounce right off.
On top of that, all of the text will flash by on your screen, meaning you’ll also need to ensure you’re aiming reticle is perfectly lined up before pulling the trigger. To help you out with this, you can use the Concentration ability. All you need to do is hold down the R1 button while the students are talking and everything will slow down. Perfect for clearing out that White Noise and nailing that false statement.
Skills are There to be Used
Danganronpa 1.2 Reload Tips and Tricks for Beginners
A lot of Danganronpa’s real challenge comes in the form of its Class Trials, and as such there are a bunch of skills that you can earn and use to make things easier. You’ll unlock these by talking to other students during Free Time in Trigger Happy Havoc, and in a number of ways in Goodbye Despair with the help of Hope Fragments.
If you continue to find yourself at a loss during a Class Trial, make sure that you’re not only equipping skills but that you’re equipping ones that are relevant to your weaknesses. For example, there are skills to increase your influence gauge by two, or to reduce the damage you take when you make a wrong move. These are excellent skills to have equipped for newcomers as combined, they can greatly reduce the chances of you seeing that Game Over screen. Have a browse at what’s available and make sure to think through your choices. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
Don’t Forget Memory Bullets
Danganronpa 1.2 Reload Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Memory Bullets are a mechanic that Danganronpa 1.2 Reload throws in relatively early on in each of the two included games, but it’s one that you can easily forget about. These basically allow you to highlight a statement that someone says during a Nonstop Debate and fire it to break a statement that another student has made.
While it may seem fairly straightforward to remember, you’ll often be so focused on working out which of the Truth Bullets that you’re given to use on which of the numerous weak statements made in a round. Make use of the generous time limit that Danganronpa 1.2 Reload gives you for its Nonstop Debate sections, and for the first time just listen to what everyone has to say. Then you’ll know whether a latter statement is going to contradict that iffy opener or whether you’ll be relying on your trusty Truth Bullets for this one instead.
Thoroughly Read All Evidence
Danganronpa 1.2 Reload Tips and Tricks for Beginners
During the latter cases of each game in Danganronpa 1.2 Reload, you’ll often find that the links between your Truth Bullets (evidence) and the statements made by students are pretty well-hidden. As such, you’ll need to spend a little more time examining the evidence descriptions in your e-handbook and working out what the link is.
However, don’t just limit your reading to the pieces of evidence you’re given. Sometimes another piece of evidence that you’re unable to use as a Truth Bullet in a Nonstop Debate can shed light on the situation or jog your memory on a link you made yourself during the investigation phase. You’ll be glad you spent those extra few minutes checking all your evidence, trust us.
