The big components such as the space exploration and the drive to get to the center of the universe were known, but the smaller details such as quests, missions, and story were remained fairly vague. Many prospective players have been wondering if there’s more to it than just the journey to the center. The answer is yes.
It turns out that there are a ton of quests and missions in No Man’s Sky that provide different goals and rewards. Some simply grant rewards in the form of resources and upgrades, others provide more lore for the alien races, and then there are those that give a deep, powerful narrative. There are a couple of stories going on in No Man’s Sky and these are explored through travelling and undertaking different questlines and missions.
The quests and missions themselves, though, are provided organically as you move from planet to planet, and star system to star system. You can follow it at your leisure, but once you do you’ll have the next step to your journey.
