Cobra Kai: Season 4 Crane Kicks Its Way to Netflix on Dec. 31

Great news, Cobra Kai fans! We finally have a concrete release date for the fourth season of everybody’s favorite dojo-battling action-comedy series. That’s right, the Karate Kid’s hugely popular successor is all set to crane kick its way to Netflix on Dec. 31.

The news comes by way of a brand new trailer that dropped recently. Feel free to check it out in all its nostalgia-inducing glory down below:

Following its original YouTube Premium launch back in 2018, the follow-up to John G Avildsen’s iconic 1984 pic that nobody asked for has fast become one of the biggest runaway hits for Netflix.

Not only did the first three seasons resonate well with critics, but fans can’t get enough of the show, too. Plus, the fifth season has allegedly already been given the green-light by the popular streaming giant ahead of the release of the fourth, which is certainly a surefire sign that the company is confident with how the franchise is going.

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, Cobra Kai revives the lifelong rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in really clever and unexpected ways while putting a mature spin on the 80s’-inspired formula. Come for the super authentic characters, stay for the top notch writing, catchy soundtrack and excellent martial arts action.

Not only is it nostalgia done right, but it’s a fantastic modern retelling of a bunch of interesting tried-and-tested themes, such as redemption, bullying, family, forgiveness and revenge. Long story short, if you’re yet to tune into Cobra Kai‘s light vs. dark, Star Wars-esque action-comedy, we’d wholeheartedly vouch for it and give it a blanket recommendation to anyone hankering for some quality entertainment. Seriously, it’s pretty damn awesome.

But tell us, are you looking forward to Cobra Kai: Season 4? Or will you be dodging it like a roundhouse kick to the head? Wax on in the usual place down below and let us know.
