Recharging Your Ultimate Abilities in Avengers Game

While fighting your way through waves of enemies in the game, every so often you’ll be able to hit the L1 and R1 buttons together (LB and RB if you’re playing on Xbox One) to use your character’s Ultimate ability. This is usually a powerful AoE attack that does massive damage to all enemies in your vicinity, and because of that, it has a pretty long cooldown timer as you have to wait for your Heroic energy to replenish.

Whenever it’s ready to be used again, the ability icon will light up in the corner of your screen and you can tap L1 and R1 again to use it. However, if you’re wondering whether there’s anything you can do to build it up quicker, the answer is no. At least, not at the start of the game.

As you progress through the game, you will eventually unlock new gear and equipment, some of which come with perks that will reduce the cooldown timer, or other passive perks to let you reduce it even further. For instance, some gear pieces will allow you to regain your Heroic energy with light or heavy finishers, and while the rate of increase won’t be all that high, it’ll add up over time, allowing you to use your Ultimate more frequently.

With that in mind, you’ll likely have to deal with the long cooldown timer only in the early hours of the game. Once you’ve leveled up a fair bit and have gotten some decent gear, things will become much easier and you won’t have to be so careful with using your Ultimate abilities from that point on.

That’s all you need to know about how to recharge your Ultimate abilities in Marvel’s Avengers. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
