In the last few years, few shows have skyrocketed to success like Dan Harmon’s philosophical sci-fi adult cartoon Rick and Morty. The show centers around a mad scientist, Rick, who drags his grandson, Morty, on crazy sci-fi adventures, usually resulting in harmful consequences for their whole family.
The show is much more than just zany adventures and meta-commentary, though, and you can really tell when you look at the detail that goes into it. Numerous different plot lines, references, and other background gags take place alongside the main story, creating a world unlike any other in cartoons.
