Boomer – Animal Crossing
Boomer is an adorable little penguin from Animal Crossing that has a dream of becoming a pilot one day. He’s lazy, loves to oversleep, and is honestly one of the most relatable villagers in AC: City Folk.
We’re not sure how old he is so we can’t call him a literal baby boomer but his name is Boomer and that’s what really matters.
Oh and more thing: according to the Animal Crossing wiki, this little penguin is allergic to cherries… so don’t feed him any… or else!
Boomer – Far Cry 5
Boomer is an adorable little pup from Far Cry 5 that acts as a friendly comrade that you can hire to help you throughout the campaign of Ubisoft’s open world shooter.
Boomer can disarm enemies and even scare off big animals such as bears. He’s honestly the best dog in the game and in video games in general and is hands-down one of the best boomers in history.
And if you’re still not convinced about him being the best dog, here are five reasons why we must protect this doggo at all costs.
Boomer – Left 4 Dead
These extremely bloated and disgusting zombie monsters come from Left 4 Dead are called Boomers.
It can literally projectile vomit all over the place, causing explosions and hordes to pop up out of nowhere. They’re really hard to take down and they’re just really annoying to deal with while your squad is already trying to take care of other infected monsters.
Boomer Kuwanger – Mega Man X
Known as the Crimson Beetle, Boomer Kuwanger is one of the many bosses robots to fight in Mega Man X. He uses his horns on his head as weapons, throwing them around the battlefield as a boomerang, hence the name, and is one of the tougher enemies to face in the game.
It’s also worth mentioning that Kuwanger’s design is based on a Japanese stag beetle and is apparently the younger brother of Gravity Beetle from Mega Man X3.
You might not care about these specific details about Kuwanger, but it was one of the few video game characters named Boomer that we could find so you just have to deal with it.
Boomer – Super Mario RPG
This one is an oldie but if you’ve played that Super Mario RPG game that was developed by Square back in the day, then you might remember a particular boss that was named Boomer.
He was a sword fighter that was an honorary member of the Smithy Gang and his design is inspired by a Shogun.
What’s cool about this fight is that you get to battle atop the chandeliers where you originally fought Bowser at the beginning of the game.
What are your favorite Boomers in gaming? Let us know in the comments below… if you can find any more than the five we have listed here already.
