Battlefield V
After taking a year off last year, DICE’s first-person shooter series returned in November with the release of Battlefield V. With stunning physics, explosions, and destruction thanks to the Frostbite engine, Battlefield V takes players all the way back to WWII.
Whether you’re playing through the game’s single-player War Stories missions, or just grouping up with friends to take the battle online over massive multiplayer maps, there’s a little something for everyone here. Though, if you’re itching to check out its Firestorm battle royale mode, you’ll need to wait a little longer for DICE to bring that as a post-launch update next year.
In the meantime, there are just 21 achievements for you to try your hand at clearing for Battlefield V. Six of these are focused on the single-player War Stories and simply completing the different missions at increasing difficulty levels.
While you might not be able to complete all War Stories on Hardcore difficulty, there’s still an easy 200 Gamerscore on offer for simply completing them all on Normal.
If you’re a fan of Battlefield’s multiplayer offering, then the remaining 15 achievements will likely be easy enough to polish off as you’re playing. You’ll get an achievement worth a huge 90 Gamerscore for playing a round of Conquest on each of the launch maps, and another worth 30 Gamerscore for calling in two reinforcements in a round as a squad leader.
None of the multiplayer achievements are particularly difficult, you’ll just need to spend the time improving your skills and slowly earning score. Nothing that can’t easily be completed during these cold winter months.
