Nintendo Switch Game Releases for December 2018

Recommended Videos

This is it. The big month. December 2018 will see the release of one of the most important games of the year. We are, of course, talking about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

As we saw in the Nintendo Direct at E3 earlier this year, Smash Ultimate features the largest character roster we’ve ever seen in the series, and it brings back basically every character that’s ever appeared in a Smash game. This marks the series’ debut on the Switch, and will also introduce new characters like the squid kids from Splatoon, and Ridley from Metroid.

Aside from Smash, there are a couple other titles to look forward to as well, if you’re not a fighting game fan. The beautiful platformer GRIS will be releasing this month. Published by Devolver Digital, GRIS is a 2D platformer game that features gorgeous hand-drawn graphics and a very evocative soundtrack.

Switch owners will also finally be able to get their hands on Katamari Damacy Reroll, which is a remake of the PS2 classic title. Katamari Damacy is a pretty wacky game where your sole task is to keep rolling all over the world, sucking up all manner of items and garbage to create a giant ball of junk.
