PS PLUS FREE GAMES PREDICTIONS FOR NOVEMBER 2018
Indies
Following the larger title, a couple indies usually make the free games list every month as well. For November our first guess is Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.
Telltale recently began a major studio closure, but reportedly both The Walking Dead series and Stranger Things series produced by Netflix appear to continue to be in development. Previously, Telltale games releasing on PS Plus has always been a very common occurrence with:
- Back to the Future: The Game in January 2012.
- The Walking Dead Season One, Episodes One and Two releasing in August 2012.
- The Walking Dead Season Two in November 2015.
- Tales from the Borderlands in May 2017.
- Game of Thrones in July 2017.
- And Batman the Telltale Series in January 2018.
It’s unclear how Telltale will handle including its games on PS Plus going forward, but if there was ever a time to guess another Telltale game would be on the way then it would be next month while the company is still formulated and organizing it’s assets and final projects.
If Guardians of the Galaxy is not chosen as the Telltale title to be included, then The Wolf Among Us and Minecraft: Story Mode remain the only other major Telltale series that have yet to be included on PS Plus. Guardians of the Galaxy just seems like a more timely choice with the recent success of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 and Guardians also coming from the same cinematic universe.
Another possible indie is top-down shooter Crimsonland from 10tons Ltd. Besides the fact that it was a well-received indie during it’s original 2003 release and later during a re-release in 2014, it is also available on all three major Sony platforms including PS4, PS3, and most importantly PS Vita. Sony loves to kill two (or even three) birds with one stone and include games that are on multiple platforms to make more players happy at once, and if you look at the PS Plus track record there is always at least one or two PS Vita titles released every single month.
Make sure to check back in a couple weeks when the official PS Plus line-up is released by Sony too see if any of our predictions come true!
