5 Things I Wish I’d Known Before Starting Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Dismantle Gear, Don’t Sell Them
One of the rookie mistakes I made when I first started playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was selling my outdated gear for money. This is a good way to earn some quick cash, but it’s hardly the most efficient. As you play through the game, you’ll be earning money pretty quickly anyway. You get it as a reward for quest completion, and you can always loot a bit of money of dead bodies. Because of that, there’s rarely ever a need for you to sell your gear for more.
Instead, dismantle your gear for resources. Weapons usually give you gems, iron, and olive wood. Armor will give you soft leather. Resources can also be found in the open world, but it’s much easier to get them through dismantling. These resources are used for upgrading your gear, engraving, and also upgrading your ship. You can’t ever have too many resources, and since they’re harder to come by than money, always dismantle your gear.
Once you stumble across an Epic or Legendary piece of equipment you really like in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you can upgrade it at the blacksmith to bring it up to your current character level.
