Sonic Mania Plus

Sonic fans finally had something to celebrate last year when a game featuring the blue blur released that didn’t feature horrendous 3D levels, some gimmicky special ability, or something equally heartbreaking. All fans wanted was a 2D blue hedgehog going fast, and that’s finally what Sonic Mania brought back to the table after all these years. Well, turns out that it was just so darn good it deserved a definitive edition so to speak, and that’s why we’ve got Sonic Mania Plus.

Ultimately, Sonic Mania Plus features the exact same list of achievements as the original title, so if you’ve played through the base game already, you know what to expect here. With just 18 achievements, Sonic Mania’s 1000 Gamerscore comes in fairly big chunks and even better, dependent on your skill level, it shouldn’t take you much longer than 15 hours to get the lot. The trickiest achievements you’ll need to worry about in Sonic Mania are those requiring you to collect medallions in Blue Spheres Bonus Stage, but use videos, and you’ll get there eventually.
