Assassin’s Creed has finally returned in the form of Origins. Players assume control of Bayek as they uncover the mysteries of the origins of the Assassins Brotherhood back in ancient Egypt. Of course, with the combat having been overhauled in Assassin’s Creed Origins, some players may be wondering what they need to do to dodge and roll away from incoming attacks. Here’s everything you need to know.

If you need to get of the way of attacks in Assassin’s Creed Origins, you’re in luck, because it’s incredibly simple. All you need to do is press X on the Xbox One, or Square on the PS4 in order to dodge an attack. Should the enemy have a more wide reaching attack, however, a simple dodge isn’t gonna save your bacon. You’re going to need to roll.

To roll in Assassin’s Creed Origins, you’ll need to triple press either X on the Xbox One, or Square on the PS4. This will cause Bayek to roll out of the way, rather than simply sidestepping and dodging.

That’s all you need to know to dodge and roll in Assassin’s Creed Origins. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
