How to Fix the Red Screen Issue on the Samsung Galaxy S8
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is releasing later this week and plenty of fans will be eagerly awaiting getting their hands on the new phone. Unfortunately, it seems as though some pre-ordered Galaxy S8 handsets in Korea that arrived early seem to have a red screen issue.
It’s not as horrendous as it sounds, though it is certainly noticeable. Multiple images have surfaced of some S8 displays having a reddish tint to the screen.
With the handset due to officially release later this week, Samsung has already addressed the complaints and also provided a solution to the red screen issues that some users are facing.

“All Samsung phones undergo thorough testing to meet our high level of quality standards. The Infinity Display on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ has applied Super AMOLED and provides rich and expressive colors, enabling users to enjoy a clearer and more vivid viewing experience.
The Galaxy S8 was built with an adaptive display that optimizes the color range, saturation, and sharpness depending on the environment. If needed, users can manually adjust the color range of the display to change the appearance of white tones, through ‘Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Color balance’.”
If adjusting your Galaxy S8’s color balance doesn’t resolve the issue, you’ll likely want to take it back to your carrier or retailer you purchased the handset from to get it replaced for another unit.
