Their Own Gang
A lot of the assassins we’ve had the privilege of taking control of throughout the Assassin’s Creed franchise have risen to great power after years of missions and training. Heck, we even got to control Ezio as he was the grand master, and that’s not too shabby at all. But the Frye twins managed to gain status not only within the ranks of their ancient order, but in the streets of London as well.
After arriving in the bustling city and witnessing the injustices against the people there, they knew something had to be done, but they were only two in a new city controlled by corruption and crime. The Templars had a gang patrolling the streets known as the Blighters, so the twins decided to fight fire with fire. They founded the Rooks, a ruthless street gang that had two purposes: protect the citizens of London and destroy the Blighters every chance they got.
The Rooks weren’t assassins, so they weren’t forced to adopt a creed and were often overlooked since they weren’t the primary targets of the Templar order. That made them perfect soldiers.
