Chocobo Customization – Final Fantasy XV

Recommended Videos

Once you unlock the Chocobo rental service at Wiz’s Chocobo Post, you’ll be able to name and customize your very own steed. Sure, you’ll still have to pay a rental fee whenever you want to ride it, but at least you’ll have some control over how it looks. First off, customization can only be done at the Chocobo Post itself. Look for the female NPC standing in between the stables and Wiz, and go talk to her. She’ll offer you the options to buy new Greens for your steed, as well as customization.

Pick the customization option, and you’ll be able to rename your steed here. As you unlock more dyes and other key items by completing races and finishing quests for Wiz, you’ll get to change the feather color of your Chocobo as well. The final customization option allows you to attach medals to your Chocobo. You’ll start off with the basic Replica Medal, but you can get even more by taking part and winning the Chocobo races available in the world. And that’s about all you need to know about customizing your rental steed.
