We’ve known for a while now that Titanfall 2 is on the way this year, but a tweet from a popular Middle Eastern retailer might have just leaked the exact day we can expect to see the game: August 30, 2016.
A rough translation of the tweet (via Bing) shows as follows: “Get ready for the summer game! You can request it in advance on meplay 15% reduction! Just follow the steps here.” This seems like a pretty standard deal to be thrown out around the time a game’s date is finally announced. But still, EA has yet to confirm this information as official, so as of right now this date is just a rumor.
We’ve known since last month that Titanfall 2 will be shown off at EA’s “Play” events happening in Los Angeles and London during E3 next month. This is presumably when we’ll get our first look at gameplay, with fans being able to get a firsthand look at the events.
Last month also saw the release of a teaser trailer for the game, which showcased new gameplay changes we can expect to see, like Titan sword-wielding. Check out that trailer below.
Do you think this leak is the real deal?
