The Assassin’s Creed Movie Finally Has a Trailer, Here It Is

We work in the dark to serve the light.

Ubisoft’s been talking about the Assassin’s Creed movie for a long time, and tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, they finally gave us the first trailer for the film. Check it out below.

The film stars X-Men’s Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, a man on death row who gets recruited by the Abstergo Corporation. Naturally, Abstergo (the front for the Templars, enemies of the Assassin Order) have him use the Animus to access the ancient history of his bloodline, putting him the ancestral boots of Aguilar in 15th century Spain.

It definitely looks like Assassin’s Creed in all the ways that count, from the aesthetic of the Assassin facility to the parkour, combat and jumping on people to stab them in the throat. But the most important part is that they got the eagle dive down perfect, complete with the crazy view as Aguilar descends down to ground level.

Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21. Excited for the film? Think it’ll break the streak of bad video game movies? Let us know in the comments below.
