It has been announced by Sony that, starting on Friday and ending Monday, a free online weekend for the PS4 will begin. All PS4 users will be able to access the PlayStation’s online features which usually require a PlayStation Plus superscription.
It should be noted that the free weekend will not give you access to the free PlayStation games given to PlayStation Plus subscribers each month, but will still allow you to get online and play with your friends.
This free weekend coincides with the free Battle of Jakku map update for Star Wars Battlefront and the free Elder Scrolls Online weekend trial that will be available for Xbox One and PC gamers.
The free weekend begins December 11 at 12:01 AM PST / 3:01 AM EST and ends Sunday, December 13, at 11:59 PM EST / 2:59 AM EST.
