we happy few

We Happy Few has been on our radar for quite some time. Despite it feeling a little too open-ended when it first released in Early Access on Steam and Xbox One, the game has since come on strength from strength, refining the experience into something that’s a little more approachable. Well, as approachable as an alternative version of WWII where a hallucinogenic drug known as Joy keeps citizens unaware of the horrific truths of their everyday lives can be, anyway.

Following the stories of three characters, players will need to find their way out of Wellington Wells, all the while uncovering the truth behind the locale, its inhabitants, and Joy. With a world that’s equal parts charming and unsettling, a procedurally generated world that makes each experience unique, and a pretty novel concept, we can’t wait to dive into We Happy Few once it releases on Aug. 10.
