Pit People (January 13th, 2017 – Early Access)

Though it isn’t releasing as a full video game just yet, players will be able to check out Pit People for themselves in January thanks to its early access phase. Pit People is a fast-paced, turn-based co-op adventure and strategy title that blends exploration with challenging grid-based battles.

Players will have to use the full cast of unique heroes to rise from the Pit, discover their destiny, and make their way across an apocalyptic land. Be warned, though, there are plenty of enemies just waiting to hinder your progress, including robots, vampires, and cupcake people. Yes, you read that last one correctly.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (January 24th, 2017)

Set in modern day American, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard sees the series return to its roots while also adopting a new first-person perspective.

Taking place after the events of the mediocre Resident Evil 6, the video game’s story unravels in Louisiana. Players assume control of Ethan Winters, a civilian inexperienced in combat who is searching for his missing wife. Unfortunately, Ethan finds himself in a derelict plantation mansion where there are plenty of horrors in wait.

Capcom has made quite a big deal about Resident Evil 7 returning to the roots of the series and survival horror as a whole, with exploration and tense atmosphere lying at the heart of the experience. However, fans can expect it to feel more immersive than ever thanks to the first-person view and some other gameplay enhancements not yet detailed.
