Tekken 7: How to Run at Your Opponent

How to Run in Tekken 7

Recommended Videos

Tekken 7 is very fast-paced, and if you want to keep the combos up, you’re going to want to close the distance between you and your opponent. It’s like a very close tango. Don’t get too far from them if you want to keep wrecking! Luckily, if you do get separated, there’s a quick way to close the gap; run towards them!

If you need to run, simply double press forward. This is dependent on what side of the screen you’re standing on, of course. If you’re on the left, we mean right on the d-pad. If you’re on the right, we mean left on it. Note that if you attempt this and are far enough, all you will need to do is double tap forward and your character will automatically run. If you’re not far enough to do this, you need to press forward twice and hold it down on the second tap to ensure the run takes place. It’s probably best to just always do this method, lest you miscalculate how far you truly are.

Of course, this is how you will be able to execute certain moves. Tackling them to the ground, in particular, is great and can only be done by getting a running head start, first.

That’s all you need to know to run at your opponent. For more help with Tekken 7, be sure to check back to Twinfinite for guides and tips!
