The next entry in what is more or less the RTS genre’s founding father understandably had a lot of folks excited when it was first revealed earlier this year. For E3 2021, though, we finally have a proper look at its gameplay in full swing, showcasing armies from throughout different eras of history clashing in epic battles. The animations and overall production really do look superb, and are a huge leap forward from the third game.

Better yet, the trailer reveals Age of Empire’s 4’s release date, which is set for Oct. 28.
