Junkrat and Roadhog Are Ultimate Bae Goals in Overwatch’s Halloween Update

Overwatch’s long rumored Halloween update is out now, and as is the case with this game, it’s got people talking. Dressing everyone in costumes has ended up giving the already successful game a new lease on life, particularly Junkrat and Roadhog. The two criminals, both originally based in Australia, have stuck by each other through thick and thin, and for a lot of people, their partnership also evolved into love at some point down the line.

Overwatch fans love the characters, but they love the ships even more. While Blizzard has gone on record as saying some of the characters are queer, they haven’t specifically said which ones are. As such, the fandom has run with that ambiguity to basically make every character not straight. Not much needs to be said about all the fan art and fic made for the popular female ships like WidowTracer and Pharmercy. Male ships came soon after, with the most prominent being McHanzo, and Reaper76. Roadrat is one of the well-known ones, as well, and the new Halloween update runs with this ship.

Look at Junkrat’s face. It’s so full of love, man. Just pure, unadulterated love for his partner in crime and in life. These two aren’t just bae goals, they’re life goals. It’s simple things like this that make them one of the best ships in Overwatch. Blizzard has said they’d like to reveal the queer characters at the appropriate time, and it wouldn’t entirely be surprising if these two turned out to be a couple over their years of working together.
