Go Tainted Monster Hunting
4 Things to Do After Beating Ni No Kuni 2
Once you’ve decked out Evan and his crew with all the spells, weapons, and armor you’ll accrue from completing Evermore, it’s time to go hunting Ni No Kuni 2’s most potent enemies: Tainted Monsters. These enhanced versions of standard enemies have much more HP, stronger attacks, and actually attack in different patterns, too. Especially for the higher level Tainted Monsters, you’ll really need to pay attention to what their respective weaknesses are and approach the battle with careful strategy.
Ni No Kuni 2 does actually record each Tainted Monster you take down, as well as register ‘sightings’ that will help you locate the ones you haven’t yet encountered. Simply pop into the options menu at any time during gameplay and check out the ‘Library’ section to review that information.
There’s a cool reward system for Tainted Monsters, too, which is a cumulative system that drops loot according to how many monsters you’ve beaten rather than the individuals. So if you’re after the game’s rarest loot, you’ll want to start hunting the Tainted Monsters as soon as possible.
