In addition to the return of the Haunted Forest, there are going to be new mods that will help increase your effectiveness during these activities.

There are three new mods: Higher Purpose, Vampiric Touch, and Energetic Assassin. They look really powerful and fun but sadly they are only active during the event and inside the Haunted Forest.

We don’t know yet how to get them, but it’s likely going to either be from Eva and/or random drops from the Forest.

They can be equipped to your special Masquerader’s Helmet which is what you put your Mask over and will increase your power while the event is active.

Here’s what they do:

Higher Purpose

  • Significant damage resistance while airborne.
  • Significantly increased damage to all enemies.
  • Increases the drop chance of Heavy ammo on kill.

Vampiric Touch

  • Significantly increased damage to challenging enemies.
  • Precision kills trigger health regeneration.
  • Increases the drop chance of Heavy Ammo on kill.

Energetic Assassin

  • Precision kills grant grenade and melee energy.
  • Significantly increased damage to Terrors.
  • Increases the drop chance of Heavy Ammo on kill.
