Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been shown off even further in August’s State of Play, and revealed that the entire game can be played as Coco from beginning to end. The game also showed off cosmetics, and it was announced in June that there will not be any microtransactions.
That’s not the only new gameplay change that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About TIme is bringing, there’s also the chances to play as Dingodile.
If you like seeing how differently you can go through levels, Toys for Bob has partnered with Beenox to revamp levels as you know them.
Whether you want to entirely swap up the visuals, there is inverted mode that entirely changed the world as you see it, melding a lot of the colors into black and neon, making your eyes untrustworthy.
There’s also an old-timey mode, where you see film grain and the action moves faster. If that’s not enough, there’s even underwater that does exactly what it says on the tin, entirely messing with the physics you are used to.
Five minutes of gameplay was shown off during State of Play, narrated by Toys for Bob producer Louis Studdert. That gameplay, and guiding narration can be found here and below.
You can enjoy all of this and more when Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launches for PS4 and Xbox One on October 2.
