Q4 2018: Best PS4 Co-op Games
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Finally, we arrive at Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. One of the most complete, varied, and well-polished multiplayer experiences from not only the long-running Call of Duty franchise, but just from FPS games in general this entire generation.
As far as co-op modes are concerned you have quite a few at your disposal. The most traditionally non-competitive co-op only game mode is Zombies. Anyone that has picked up a Call of Duty game, especially the Treyarch developed ones, should know what Zombies are at this point.
You and a friend (up to four total), must survive against waves of Zombies, as you work your way across a map. You’ll need to find better weapons, create traps and fortifications, and support each other over a long period of time and distance in order to survive.
There’s Blackout mode, Call of Duty’s popular new battle royale mode, which takes traditional gameplay from the genre, and merges it with Call of Duty style gunplay.
You can play with a friend in duos, or squads of up to four people online. Blackout has caught on quite well, and expect it to be a staple in the series for years to come.
Finally, you can always team up with a friend to do some old-school Call of Duty competitive FPS games. Domination, Kill Confirmed, etc. all the major game modes are still there.
That’s our choices for the best PS4 couch co-op games from Q4 2018. If you haven’t picked any of these up yet, definitely see which one fits best for you, grab a bud, and start playing.
