Chapter Four
Lady Arkham has Alfred and is beating him on camera as Batman watches thanks to the login details she left at the crime scene. Upon watching the video, Bruce notices that Alfred is using his glasses to reflect certain images that the Bat computer can analyze and put together an image of his surroundings. Bruce can then investigate this through his suit’s Cowl VR.
Bruce will discover that they’re in some sort of basement, they have professional equipment, and that there’s a label for a heater servicing company you can use to search for home addresses. Skimming through the footage, he’ll also spot a Mason’s stamp which can be used to narrow down your search significantly to those built by stonemasons in 1945. Bruce then sees a bus stop outside of a basement window. Examining the data as a whole will reveal Vicki is back at her childhood home. Just before Bruce sets off to finally put an end to this, Lucius Fox will give you one final parting gift – a shiny new suit.
Arriving at Vale’s, Batman heads down into the basement. There’s blood on the walls but no sign of Alfred, or anyone else for that matter. You’ll jump into another investigation scene. The blood is still fresh, meaning Alfred isn’t long gone. Batman then notices a blood trail of footprints going into the wall. Kicking down the wall, Batman finds a small room and a hole in the floor leading to something else below. You drop down and discover what seems to be some kind of torture room. There are child’s drawings on the wall, shackles, belts, and blood. Vicki was kept down there, locked away and tortured as a child. Batman pieces together that this is the reason that Vicki is so bitter and desperate for revenge.
Upon investigating the chalk on the wall, Batman uncovers a message from Alfred inferring that Lady Arkham is planning to liberate the inmates of Arkham Asylum and let them riot in the town. Batman tells Lucius to contact GCPD and Gordon to let them know of her plans, while he drives off to Asylum to surprise Vicki. Chapter four ends with Batman taking out a Child of Arkham and standing before Lady Arkham.
