Break Those Parts

In Dauntless, your weapon can deal three different colored-types of damage onto Behemoths. The first one is break damage which is marked by yellow-colored numbers that show how much damage you are doing to a certain part of the monster’s body.

By breaking every part of the Behemoth, you and your team will be rewarded with extra monster loot. Once the number isn’t yellow anymore, then that means that the part you are hitting is already broken.

You want to try to communicate with your teammates so you can all break the parts before the monster goes down.

Now, the second color is blue, which is what pops up when you’re doing stagger damage. This happens whenever you’re bashing the head of a monster.

The more stagger damage you do, the more likely it is that the monster will fall for a few seconds, allowing the team to get a few good smacks in there.

And if you open up a wound on a monster’s body, red-colored numbers will pop up whenever you hit those open wounds; this is called piercing damage.

Try to cut off the tails, break their parts, and stagger enemies first and foremost and you will get so much more loot while you play Dauntless.
