Monster Hunter World

Like the Bazelgeuse and Vaal Hazak, the Nergigante is another dangerous addition to the list of savage creatures in Monster Hunter World, charging at hunters with its six limbs and spiked body. These spikes automatically regenerate during the fight, and they will continue to grow unless you break them off. Once they become too long, the Nergigante can deflect any incoming strikes and deal more damage with its constant lunges and dive bombs. Unlike the other monsters in the game, this creature is less likely to run away, even when at low health.

Before enlisting for the hunt, bring any lightning-based weapons with you. Since the Nergigante is also susceptible to poison, try inflicting the ailment early during the fight to whittle away its health. Always avoid any incoming dive bomb attacks since one strike will usually mean certain death. Once it’s exposed, retaliate by aiming for its head, forelegs, and horns. It’s worth noting that the Nergigante is a long hunt, so be prepared to sink in the whole fifty minutes during the fight.
