5 Games That Desperately Need to Step Up Their DLC Game
Octopath Traveler
Octopath Traveler was a response to growing desires for classic JRPG experiences after the surprising successes of titles like Bravely Default. Octopath was unapologetically forgoing the use of DLC content in any way.
Following a similar ideology as the developers and publisher of Vampyr, Square Enix referred to Octopath Traveler as a “finished product” to support its lack of downloadable content.
Octopath Traveler was one of this years best received RPGs and Nintendo Switch games overall, and not continuing it in some way would be a bit of a let down. Perhaps more story content for the original cast of memorable characters, or even adding some new characters into the fold could further enhance this nostalgic and memorable 2018 title.
The game sold incredibly well on Nintendo Switch and it would be an easy source of revenue for Square Enix, while also giving fans who really wanted more Octopath Traveler the chance to jump back into the game with some new content in tow.
