The Outer Worlds
Obsidian set out to make an RPG like Fallout that wasn’t as poor as Bethesda’s Fallout 76 and boy did it succeed. The Outer Worlds gives players a colorful and vibrant open-world setting that has really cool gunplay, interesting companion characters with depth, and humor that pays homage to Fallout: New Vegas with a little bit of Borderlands sprinkled in.
There are narrative decisions that ultimately alter the plot of the story and the game actually encourages you to play however you want. The Outer Worlds may be a bit smaller than other RPGs but its compactness makes it easy for anyone to jump in and not feel bogged down by filler and meaningless side quests.
We hope that Obsidian can return to this world and develop a sequel down the line because jumping from planet to planet in this game is incredibly fun and the tightness of it all feels great.
