CARPE – PHILADELPHIA FUSION – WIDOWMAKER
Carpe has been on our best Overwatch League players list for his skills on Tracer before, but today marks the first time we recognize his amazing sniping abilities as Widowmaker in both the Wednesday match against New York Excelsior and on Friday against Los Angeles Gladiators.

Some of his most noteworthy plays we can see above where Carpe pulls off a 180 spin to kill the enemy Tracer in midair on Blizzard World, and below where he lands three perfect headshots in a row on Dorado to split the team in half single-handedly.

Despite his team losing both matches last week, Carpe still played extraordinarily well and no doubt played a big role in Fusion getting at least one point against the Gladiators during that match. For example, see below where he skillfully flanked with sufficient coverage to quickly kill off Surefour as Widow and Shaz as Zenyatta before grappling up the air while landing shots on an uting BigGoose as Mercy before finally landing the killing blow, thus giving his team the next checkpoint easily as they push on Dorado.

Carpe was one of the Players of the Day on Friday alongside Bischu, with Overwatch League commentator Matthew Morello saying, “He played lights out, his Widowmaker was unreal. He kept Philadelphia in the series… he finishes with 20 final blows towards the end of that match (against Los Angeles Gladiators), unreal game from Carpe in a loss.”
